Which comes to mind when you think of surge protection?
|
Most people think little about surge protection beyond a small power bar that their computer is plugged into. Your
Proper Electrician recommends a two stage surge protection for your home or business.
Stage One - AC power protection, cable protection (protects two coax cable lines), telephone protection (protects up to
four telephone lines). It is installed at the panel to protect all incoming lines.
Stage Two - Recommended for sensitive loads like computer and electronic equipment, a plug in unit, often referred to
as a power bar, is installed at the point of use to protect your equipment from surges created within the house. Don't be
fooled, not all power bars give you adequate surge protection to protect your equipment.
